District Adm Ganderbal conducts awareness cum training prog for Amarnath Yatra

Ganderbal, Jun 21: District Administration Ganderbal today conducted an awareness cum training programme to facilitate the Yatris coming for Shri AmarnathJi Yatra this year.
The programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal Showkat Ahmad, SDM Masarat Hashim, Chief Medical Officer R.D Kasana, DSP, Bashir Ahmad, besides officials from R&B, PHE, Power Department were also present in the meeting.
The meeting was informed regarding the establishment of camps, shelter sheds, health/medical camps and emergency operation centres (EOCs) at various locations, provision of drinking water supply, lighting, LPG, ration, medicine and mobile connectivity.
Giving details about the steps taken by the police department, DSP said that 11 mountain rescue teams of the police, four National Defence Rescue Force teams and rescue teams of the State Defence Rescue Force and the CRPF would be deployed at various locations to deal with contingencies.
CMO, Ganderbal R.D Kasana speaking on the occasion said that they should be present everywhere and discussed the precautions to be taken while rescuing the people.
He also apprised the officials that Medical facilities at 24 stations will remain available 24×7, including doctors, paramedics & essential medicines. He further said a sufficient number of oxygen cylinders would be available. He informed that 40 bedded Hospital is already made functional, besides that X-Ray & ECGs facilities available would also be available at different stations.
