Kashmiri Sikh body protests against thrashing of driver in Delhi

Srinagar, Jun 20: The members of Gurmat Taksal held a protest demonstration at press colony here on Thursday morning against the thrashing of a Sikh driver and disrespect of Sikh symbols in Delhi.
“A Sikh auto diver and his son were brutally beaten and his kesh(hair) and turban were disrespected,” said a protesting Sikh member.
The protesting members of Gurmat Taksal IGS J&K appealed international human rights bodies to intervene in this matter.
They also appealed the central government to take strict action against the people who hurt religious sentiments.
“We also demand that strict law should be passed to prevent such incidents in the future,” they added.
