Pak treading cautious path

Pakistan sharing an input about the possible militant attack in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district has put the security agencies on the high alert across the state.
According to the media reports Pakistan has shared the input to avoid any blame being put on it and the international pressure. Post Pulwama attack, which left as many as 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel dead, Pakistan has been treading a cautious path.
The Pulwama attack had brought both India and Pakistan close to a war. Had international community not intervened the war between the two nuclear neighbours would have broken out and the people of both the countries would have suffered.
Many people believe that India and Pakistan should resume talks so that tension deescalates. Till both the countries don’t start talking to each other things will not change.
People of Kashmir want an end to violence so that they can live in peace. Leaders of both the countries need to give peace a chance to end the conflict. Islamabad during the past few months has made few attempts to normalize the relations with New Delhi but the GoI has been maintaining that talks and violence cannot go together.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, returning to power with a thumping majority for the second consecutive term has provided him with a chance to resolve all the issues as he has emerged as the most powerful leader in the recent times. If Pakistan addresses the issues being raised by New Delhi, then the Government of India should give a thought to restarting the dialogue process. The tough stand taken by New Delhi has already driven home a point that certain issues cannot be discussed and these should be left untouched.
