J P Nadda appointed BJP working president

New Delhi, Jun 17: Senior BJP leader and former Union minister J P Nadda was appointed as the party’s working president during a parliamentary board meeting on Monday.
Nadda will take care of the day-to-day operations of the party, the BJP announced after the party’s highest decision-making body’s meeting.
“BJP won several elections under the leadership of Amit Shah. But since he was appointed the home minister, Amit Shah himself said the responsibility of party president post should be given to someone else,” Union minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said, adding that the BJP parliamentary board chose J P Nadda as the working president.
Rajnath, however, added that Shah will remain BJP’s national president.
