Forest fire triggers mine blasts along LoC in Balakote

Poonch, May 31: A major inferno along Line of Control in Balakote sector of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir has triggered landmine explosions, sending the local populace in a tizzy.
Reports said that the fire apparently spread across the border yesterday evening. The fire has already engulfed large areas of Langiote and Balakote while causing some damage to the fence and other infrastructure also.
Meanwhile, Indian Army is on job to douse the fire to avert any major damage. An alert has also been sounded in the areas adjacent to the border while cautioning the villagers from venturing the affected areas, the reports added. (GNS)
