DC Ganderbal reviews progress in RDD sector

Ganderbal, May 29: District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today convened a meeting to review the progress and implementation of various schemes of Rural Development Department (RDD) in the district.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC, Shafqat Iqbal, ACD, CPO, DPO, Executive Engineer REW, BDOs and other concerned.
Threadbare discussion was held on various schemes under execution of RDD like PMAY, MGNREGA, SAGY, SRLM, etc. The meeting also discussed block-wise status of total houses taken under PMAY , clearance of previous wage liability up to 2017-18, , verification of job cards and weeding out death cases, seeding of ADHAARs, identification of land for rural Haat, identification of one village as Model village in every Block, Community Sanitary Complex (CSC), Solid Waste Management, Gobardan functioning of PRIs and Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP).
DDC directed all the BDOs to identify land in their respective blocks for Rural Haat, Gobardan, Solid Waste Management and CSCs. He also stressed on Aadhaar Seeding of Job Cardholders along with Geo-tagging of Assets.
The DDC stressed on greater transparency in the implementation of developmental works under various schemes and judicious use of funds. He directed all BDOs to accelerate the pace of work in their respective areas and stressed on adoption of more innovative methods in various schemes and involvement of common masses in the development process so that the set targets are achieved well in time.
He enjoined upon BDOs for timely payment of wages to labourers submitting utilization certificate, Geo tagging of works, registration of works on MIS portal so that process of funding may flow smoothly.
