Hakeem Yaseen concerned over unnecessary harassment to Kashmiri youth

Srinagar, May 28: Chairman PDF Hakeem Yaseen has expressed serious concern over the reign of terror let loose on the youth in various parts of the valley by the black sheep in security forces. He has also condemned use of brute force on the innocent youth in Dharmuna village of Central District of Budgam causing serious injuries to several youth who are battling for life in Hospitals.
In a statement issued, Hakeem Yaseen has said that due to unprovoked harassment and insult to youth the security situation in the valley was going from bad to worst each passing day. He said on one hand authorities do make tall claims about peace initiatives in the restive valley while on other hand they are resorting to anti people and anti youth means which has made the security situation in the state very explosive and volatile. He said arrest spree of youth underway in various areas of the valley has made life of the common people like hell.
Hakeem Yaseen has urged the Governor administration to take stern action against the black sheep in belt forces who are every now seen violating SOPs for their ulterior motives. “Government shall have to take the youth on board and win their confidence before taking peace restoration measures in the state,” Hakeem Yaseen has remarked.
PDF Chief has also appealed to Governor S P Malik to release all the political prisoners on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr as a goodwill gesture so that they can celebrate this auspicious occasion along with their families. “This will be a good CBM towards restoration of peace,” Hakeem Yaseen added. He has also urged the need for shifting of all detenues from outside jails to Kashmir on humanitarian basis. (KNS)
