Srinagar, May 28: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Tuesday urged the incumbent Governor administration to ensure all facilities to people on the eve of Shab-e-Qadar, Jumat ul Vida and Eid Ul Fitr, saying that the government is duty bound to ensure people adequate supply of all basic and effective amenities in the wake of upcoming festive occasions.
Party additional general secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday said that the incumbent governor administration was duty bound to ensure steady supply of electricity, water to people particularly during the upcoming auspicious occasions. “The governor administration should gear up for the forthcoming festivities and ensures that festive fervor of the people is not dampened by the paucity of basic edibles and facilities. The governor administration should ensure all facilities at the prominent shrines of the state on the eve of Jumat ul vida and Eid ul Fitr. It is also expected of administration to ensure that roads and alleys leading to mosques are properly worked upon and ensure hassle free movement of people. Meantime I urge the administration to depute flying squads to city markers to check price rise and black marketing. I pray almighty to usher in an era of prosperity in our state.” (KNS)
