Chekpora Kalan locals urge DC Budgam to macadamize dilapidated road

Budgam, May 28: The condition of road from Nowgam to Pahru is dilapidated. Dust keeps flying out of the road surface, making the people suffer. Locals from Chekpora Kalan, Pahru are mulling to pool money to repair the road.
A local Reyaz-ul-Haq Shah said that road connecting Srinagar Railway Station with Pampore Railway Station has developed potholes at numerous places while an ordinary drizzle makes commuting difficult.
The agitating villagers accused public works (roads and buildings) department of ignoring them. “The condition of roads is such that it seems the area is lacking human habitation. We urge upon District Development Commissioner Budgam to macadamize the road at an earliest. (CNS)
