Gone are the days, when people would fall prey to ‘false, hollow promises’: Farooq Shah

Srinagar, May 27: Upbeat with the outstanding performance of National Conference in the recently held parliament elections, hundreds of political workers form other parties Monday joined National Conference in Tangmarg.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah said that his belief regarding the rise of National Conference has got strengthened with the spectacular performance of the party in the LS elections and said the people of the valley have realized that National conference was the only party which is the true representative of the people’s aspirations. He added that the party has sent three most experienced and seasoned politicians and judicial expert to the parliament which is evident that it was very much serious in representing the aspirations of the people of the state in the largest democratic forum of the world.
While reiterating his desire to bring large scale development in the Tangmarg constituency, Shah said that his sole aim to join politics was to bring development in the Tangamrg constituency which despite being at stone’s throw from Summer Capital Srinagar has been devoid of all kinds of facilities by the local MLAs. He said the dilapidated roads, poor infrastructure, absence of electricity and many other flaws has thrown the constituency behind other nearby constituencies. According to former bureaucrate, the people of the world famous constituency were craving for basic facilities which have made him impatient over so many weeks. He said party will not waste even a day after assuming power in launching the developmental activities across the state and added that Tangmarg would be the top priority. He urged people to not fall prey to false promises and ‘ ‘hypocritical’ agenda of – what he said ‘ Single man’ parties and said those who couldn’t do it in 36 years of power can not do it now , and therefore should not be trusted anymore. He said gone were the days when people would trust blindly and today’s youth is politically more conscious and mature who prefers development over ‘ hollow slogans’. (RNA)
