Jammu, May 24: The Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Prof.Bhim Singh has called on the Chairman & the President of J&K National Panthers Party to call an urgent conference of the JKNPP Working Committee to review the situation that has emerged after the declaration of Lok Sabha election results in the state of J&K, threatening the security of the state and the political workers who participated actively in the Lok Sabha elections in the three provinces namely, Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu.
Prof. Bhim Singh suggested to the Chairman & the President of JKNPP to fix a date for the first week of June, 2019 inviting all the working committee members as well as district presidents in all the three regions to work out a common joint programme for the security and safety of the general public as well as for the protection of fundamental rights of all the citizens of India residing in all the three provinces. Prof.Bhim Singh also urged the Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh to direct the Governor of J&K to ensure reasonable security cover to all the political activists, in particular, in J&K so that the political activities shall continue as they are very necessary in view of the state Assembly elections which may be held after couple of months in the state.
He also urged the President of India to hold an urgent meeting of the leadership of J&K to ensure active participation of all political parties in the political affairs. He said, that J&K is under President’s Rule, it is the responsibility of the President Office in New Delhi to ensure peace and political stability in the state of J&K so that the coming Assembly elections may be held in cordial atmosphere.
Prof. Bhim Singh called on the Panthers Party leadership in all districts of J&K to reorganize district committees so that the Panthers Party shall be in a situation to play its active role in the forthcoming Assembly elections. He expressed hope that the national leadership shall not play in the hands of the former and present ruling political parties who have managed to rig the recently held Lok Sabha election. Prof. Bhim Singh reiterated a stand that Lok Sabha elections need to be re-held in one go and not in half dozen phases for two months as it was conducted this time. He expressed shock on the silence of all the recognized political parties on the seven phases Lok Sabha poll in the country which he said was neither political acceptable nor desirable to convey a message of democracy and rule of law from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
