Delay in recruitment process leaves youth in lurch

The delay in selection process for various vacancies in Jammu and Kashmir has left the hundreds of job aspirants in lurch.
The government needs to wake up to the concerns of the young people and should expedite the selection process for various vacancies.
The recruiting agencies in the state need to ensure that the cases pertaining to selections and recruitments are disposed of in a time-bound manner so that the career of youth is not jeopardized.
On the other hand many candidates who have appeared for various written exams and interviews are waiting for the selection lists to get published.
The KAS aspirants of 2016 batch, who qualified their main exams, are uncertain about their future as the entire process has been caught in the legal wrangles. The Jammu and Kashmir State Public Service Commission (JKPSC) should file the reply fast so that case is heard and disposed of without anymore delay.
The much hyped fast track recruitment drive which was started by the erstwhile PDP-BJP government proved to be a damp squib and remained confined to papers only, the political interference in the recruitments during the PDP led regime has also played havoc with the careers of the youth.
The recruitment scams which came to fore during the PDP led regime also made the aspirants lose faith over the system.
The incumbent Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik has taken a strong note of the issues confronting youth. Soon after he took over the reins of the state, he directed the J&K Bank to absorb the deserving candidates, who had been dropped to accommodate the aspirants. The Governor Malik should take the suo-motto cognizance of the sufferings of the youth and direct the recruitment agencies to put their act together.
