2nd batch of 10 Kathua Jail inmates pass CBFL exam

Kathua, May 9: The Second Batch of Ten (10) inmates have successfully passed Adult Education Program in Urdu through Tata Consultancy Services Ltd’s computer Based Functional Learning (CBFL) technique/ software here at District Jail.
The CBFL technique/ software in teaching Basic Urdu education to Jail Inmates was introduced in teaching of Urdu sometime back and around similar number of Inmates have completed/ passed the course in First Batch.
The software/ technique developed by Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. named “Hamari Urdu” emphasizes on learning words rather than alphabets, through a process of visually stimulating settings accompanied by audio which learners can easily relate to. The CBFL method is implemented using computers in such a way that the objective of teaching words in a short time can be achieved which is supplemented by reference text-books of National Literacy Mission.
The successful candidates were awarded Course Completion Certificates by Chief Education Officer Prem Nath in presence of Superintendent Jail Mushtaq Ahmed Malla, other officers and staff of District Jail Kathua.
