Srinagar, Apr 8: Peoples Conference chairman and former chief minister Sajad Gani Lone on Sunday in a sensational revelation asked National Conference vice president and former chief minister Omar Abdullah to apologise for making a bid for power after 2014 assembly elections with a party on which he is spewing venom or face the critical evidence including an audio recording.
Talking to reporters after addressing an election rally at Karalpora Kupwara, Lone said, “After the assembly election results were declared in 2014 Omar Abdullah flew to Delhi and met a president of a national party to seek the support of his party for becoming chief minister. Omar sat with the national party’s president for about two and a half hours on sixth floor of an eight storied building in Canaught place Delhi.”
He asked Omar to either apologise to people for making the bid for power with an ideologically opposite party against which he has launched vicious campaign or be ready to listen his 2014 mobile phone recording with a top leader of a national party for government formation. (KNS)
