HYDERABAD: Minutes after Yogi Adityanth started his election speech at Yella Reddy in Kamareddy district on Sunday and began tearing into the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government, many from the crowd left the venue as they failed to follow what the Uttar Pradesh CM was saying.Local BJP leaders from Zaheerabad managed to mobilise crowds for Yogi’s public meeting, but most of the Telugu-speaking women said they simply couldn’t understand a word.“We are not following what heis trying to say. At least BJP, which made us come all the way, should have got a translator,” said an angry woman before leaving the meeting midway, with several others in tow.Sources said in the past, Telugu leaders like state BJP president K Laxman or national general secretary Muralidhar Rao have themselves translated speeches of big national leaders. But for Yogi’s meeting, no translator was arranged to read out his speech in Telugu for the benefit of the audience.
