Jaitley’s statement ill conceived: Hakeem Yaseen

Srinagar, Mar 29: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has strongly condemned statement of Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley against Article 35-A adding that it was a political gimmick aimed at to hoodwink electorate during the current parliamentary elections. He said the statement has caused a wide spread anger and unrest among the state’s people, for which Jaitley should immediately tender his apology.
In a statement, Hakeem Yaseen while condemning the statement of Arun Jaitley that Article 35-A was blocking states development, has said that this Article was the jugular vein and life line of the people of the state which guarantees security to their unique and distinguished identity and valued dignity. He said Jaitley should know that where there is ones honour at stake, economy and money doesn’t matter at all.
PDF Chairman asked Jaitley to see the Article 35-A through the eyes of states people in order to understand better its sanctity and significance before the state’s people. He said Art.35-A was dearer to the people of the state who are ever ready to offer supreme sacrifices for its safeguard.
Hakeem Yaseen has said that the statement of Arun Jaitley against Art.35-A has exposed the ill intentions of the Sang Parivar about the people of the state. He has cautioned the centre against any misadventure to tinker with the Article 35-A adding that it will be a do or die situation for the state’s people and the total responsibility of the results would be on the BJP and its allies.
