Stringent action should be taken against guilty: Hakeem Yaseen

Srinagar, Mar 19: Former Revenue Minister and Chairman PDF on Tuesday demanded a time bound probe into the alleged custodial killing of a youth namely Rizwan Pandit t of Awantipora town in south Kashmir.
In a statement, Hakeem Yaseen while strongly condemning custodial killing of Rizwan Pandit, a teacher by profession, has said that such barbaric acts against youth are totally unacceptable. He said the more muscle power is used against the youth, the more alienation takes place adding that such harsh methods are detrimental to the overall national interests.
“Expressing serious concern over the incident, Hakeem Yaseen has conveyed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Hakeem Yaseen has asked the Governor S P Malik to take stringent action against personnel who are responsible for the custodial killing of Rizwan Pandit immediately as this barbaric act has send shock waves among the people of the state who feel themselves totally insecure and unsafe in the prevailing situation. He said killing of human being in any form or manifestation was against humanity and tenants of all religions.
Hakeem Yaseen has said that the Governor administration has miserably failed to reign in black sheep in forces as they are repeatedly committing human rights violations and have become habitual of violating SOPs. (KNS)
