EVM, VVPAT training imparted to staff members at Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Mar 3: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kishtwar organized a training-cum-awareness programme on Electronic Voting Machine and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (EVM- VVPAT) machines under the Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Programme at District Court Complex Kishtwar.
The awareness programme which aimed at spreading electoral literacy amongst the voters was organized under the supervision of S.C. Katal, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar and Touseef Ahmad Magray, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar.
Master trainer, Pardeep Koul imparted training to participants including staff member of District Court Complex Kishtwar about the handling of EVM-VVPAT machines during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion Secretary, DLSA, Kishtwar stressed on full acquaintance of handling and operation of these machines. He also instructed passing the message to the general public so as to ensure maximum voter turnout in the upcoming general elections.
Nodal Officer, Anoop Sharma, Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Kishtwar threw light on the SVEEP programme during the awareness programme.
The participants were urged to spread the word about toll-free helpline number 1950 and website www.nvsp.in where in voters get authentic information.
The awareness programme also included brainstorming session wherein different kinds of queries were raised and answered.
