Forces conduct CASO in Shopian

Srinagar, Feb 26: Security forces on Tuesday conducted Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama following a tip off about the presence of militants, official sources said.
They said on a specific information about the presence of militants, troops of Rashitriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at village Rawalpora in Shopian early Tuesday morning. All the exit points were sealed and house to house searches launched, they said adding no contact was established with the militants.
Meanwhile, additional paramilitary forces and state police personnel were deployed in the adjoining village to prevent any stone pelting incident during the CASO, they said.
