Rajnath visits injured DIG Amit Kumar at AIIMS

Srinagar, Feb 24: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi to enquire about the health of DIG Amit Kumar from Jammu and Kashmir police.
DIG Kumar was severely injured in a gunfight in Pulwama last week.
“Visited AIIMS to inquire about the health of DIG Jammu and Kashmir Police. Amit Kumar who was severely injured in a recent counter militancy operation in Pulwama,” the Home Minister tweeted.
“Officers like him lift the morale of forces with their action. I salute his courage and the bravery exhibited by his team,” Singh said.
Earlier today, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju visited AIIMS and inquired about Kumar’s condition.
