Jammu, Feb 17: As many as 10 people have been detained who were found involved in violence while all wine shops in the district have been ordered to remain close till further orders in view of curfew imposition on the third consecutive day here on Sunday.
“Around 10 people have been detained while others are also being identified for their involvement in the sporadic incidents of violence on Friday during protests against the Pulwama attack in which 49 CRPF men were killed,” police sources here said.
They said that strict action would be taken against those involved in incidents of violence in the city and added that no leniency will be shown to them while cooperation of the people has been sought in maintaining peace and Internet services were snapped to avoid spread of rumours.
District Magistrate Ramesh Kumar also ordered that in view of present prevailing situation in Jammu, all Wine Shops in the district shall remain closed until further orders.”
