LBA announces agitation for separate district, assembly seat

Srinagar, Feb 14: The Ladakh Buddhist association (LBA) Zanskar has called for an agitation for a separate district and assembly seat for the Zanaskar area.
A statement issued by LBA said a meeting was held by all the stakeholders from Zanskar at Rajindra Park, Jammu Feb 10 to discuss their way forward for achieving “long pending demands of Zanskar area.
This committee will comprise members of LBA, Zanskar, All Zanskar Gonpa Association, LBA, Youth Wing, Zanskar, LBA, Women Wing, Zanskar, Nambardar Association, Zanskar, Hon’ble Executive Councilor, Zanskar, All Zanskar Student Association, Jammu, All the Hon’ble Councilor representing Zanskar Sub-Division, Ex. Executive Councilor and Councilor from Zanskar Sub-Division.
The meeting decided the committee would henceforth spearhead the movement for district and separate Assembly Seat for Zanskar.
“This Committee will be headed by the LBA, Zanskar and it will work in coordination with all the other members of the Committee,” the statement added.
