Awareness programme for drivers held at Shopian

Shopian, Feb 5: In connection with 30th road safety week, Assistant Regional Transport office today organised an awareness programme for drivers here at Bus Stand Batpora.
The aim of the programme was to create awrnessamong the driver community about traffic rules, hazards of overloading and overcrowding, wrong side driving, traffic signal jumping, reflective tape and under safety protective devices and using mobile phones while driving.
Meanwhile, two-wheeler riders and motorists were urged upon to use seat belt and helmets.
Later, a medical check-up for drivers was also held.
