FOB organizes awareness programme in Baramulla

Baramulla, Jan 30: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organised an awareness programme on drug abuse and its ill effects on society held at Sheerwani Auditorium Hall, Baramulla.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Nasir Ahmad Naqash was the chief guest on the occasion while Chief Medical Officer, Baramulla, Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Ahmad Naqash emphasised the role of society in dealing with the menace of drug abuse. He stressed upon the audience to shoulder the responsibility of spreading the awareness about the ill consequences of drug abuse. Each one of us has to become the ambassador to spread the message.
Lauding the efforts of Field Outreach Bureau in organising the event, Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo expressed desire to have more of such programmes in near future.
Another similar awareness programme of Khelo India Scheme was organized by the Field Outreach Bureau on January 29, 2019. A badminton tournament was organized at Bakshi Stadium where divisional sports officer Nuzhat Ara was the chief guest while Farooq Ahmad Zargar was the guest of honour.
District hospital Baramulla drug de-addiction centre participated message to people offered support.
