Srinagar, Jan 30: Amid snow and rains, the employees of National Health Mission (NHM) on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration at Press enclave demanding regularisation of their services.
Hundreds of the employees including women employees staged a rally from Partap Park to press enclave in favour of their demands. The employees have been demanding for their regularisation and other benefits from a very long time and today was the fourth consecutive day of the employees protesting in Srinagar.
The protesting employees while chanting anti-administration slogans also blocked the M.A road Srinagar, thus hammering the traffic movement. The protesting employees are demanding regularization, equal wages and other benefits.
The protesting employees said that the government is not serious in resolving their issues, and accused the administration of keeping them away from benefits that are extended to other employees of the health department. The strike was supported by other health schemes like RNTCP, NACO etc.
