Centre for Peace and Progress holds conference on Kashmir in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jan 25: Centre for Peace and Progress led by Civil Society member and track 2 diplomat OP Shaw held a conference in West Bengal capital Kokata. The Conference was called to find ways and means to improve relations between India and Pakistan. Civil Society member OP Shaw while divulging information about the event told news agency CNS that its theme was “Improving Indo Pak Relations”.
He said Pakistani High Commissioner Sohail Mehmood emphasised the importance of talks and sustained engagement between the two countries, strenghening of SAARC and role of media.
Quoting Prime Minister Imran Khan, High Commissioner Mehmood said that blame game should be avoided by both countries. He reiterated that all the problems between the two countries can be solved.
“I reiterated the significance of dialogue, role of media, people to people interactions and need for creating a climate of trust & confidence,” Shaw said.
He said Kashmir issue can be resolved only through dialogue.
