Air traffic suspended at Srinagar airport

Srinagar, Jan 21: Air traffic was again suspended on Monday at Srinagar International Airport due to poor visibility, an official airport said.
So far no flight has operated at Srinagar airport due to poor visibility due to dark clouds since early Monday morning, official said.
He said though no flight has been cancelled but decision to allow to and fro air traffic will be taken only after the visibility improves.
We will conduct inspection later to taken a final decision, he said.
However, the Meteorological department has issued a forecast for moderate to heavy rain and snow during the next 48 hours which could hit air and surface traffic. The Srinagar-Jammu national highway has also been closed due to fresh snowfall today.
