Kupwara, Jan 16: Despite drawing salaries many instructors in Industrial training institute (ITI) Lalpora Lolab in northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district are not attending the institution regularly.
Students of ITI Lalpora said that many instructors of the institute are drawing salaries without attending the institute regularly even the two instructors are absent since long time from their duties.
“ITI instructor John Mohammad and another instructor Khalida are absent since long time from their duties and we suffering as no one is teaching us those subjects which they are teaching us” said a group of students.
Students of the institute said that the only one instructor Shaheena Begum from Sopore is attending institute regularly and is teaching students according to time table, but the others when attend institute are teaching students selflessly.
Sources said that another employee Mohammad Asif is attending institute five days month hardly.
“We always left without learning anything from the teachers, those employees who are attending institute are attending classes only after we go to them” students alleged
Sources said that the other employees who remain absent from their duty are managing attendance on the register of the institute, “It seems that there is nexus between the authorities of the institute and instructors because they are managing fraudulently” sources added.
In charge superintendent of the institute Qazi Mohammad Arif himself admitted that the said instructors are absent from their duties since long time.
“The few instructors are absent since long time and i have wrote a detailed letter to joint director and DC Kupwara in this regard but they had not taken any step so far” he said
When contacted in charge joint director ITI Kashmir division G.M Bhat he said that he is going to write a detailed notice to the concerned superintended in this regard.
