NC takes dig at Mehbooba for contradictory statement on forming Govt with BJP

Srinagar, Jan 16: The National Conference (NC) took a dig at former Chief Minister and president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti for her contradictory statement on forming government with Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior NC leader and advisor to party vice president Omar Abdullah, Tanvir Sadiq asked Mehbooba what actually forced her to align with BJP since her two statements on the issue are contradictory.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter Tanvir said “A potential split in the party forced me to to form the government with the BJP 2) We aligned with BJP to resolve the issue of Kashmir”.
“Madam @Mehbooba Mufti Ji, all this sounds contradictory , can you please make up your mind why precisely you aligned with @BJP4India”, he further said.
Mehbooba who resigned after BJP pulled out from her coalition government, had advocated dialogue with militants and Pakistan yesterday. However, her visit to families of militants recently also came under severe criticism from BJP leaders and Omar Abdullah and other NC leaders questioned her why she was not visiting these families when she was in power.
