DAHWA convenes rural awareness, pension disposal camp

Jammu, Jan 15: Destitute And Handicapped Welfare Association (DAHWA) today conducted its monthly rural awareness cum pension disposal camp at Khoon, Majalta tehsil under the championship of its President S S Sumbria.
During the camp, DAHWA team took stock of various issues confronted by the people of these rural areas and assured to take up the same with the concerned authorities for redressal.
A large number of people from various villages of khoon block participated in the camp and raised issues of their respective areas.
On the occasion, several pension cases were taken up and discussed elaborately for redressal.
Sumbria, while addressing the people, highlighted several state and centrally sponsored schemes and appealed the people to further disseminated this information among their brethren so that no one is deprived of these benefits for lack of knowledge about the same. He said that it is a firm resolve and commitment of DAHWA to take the benefit of government schemes to the poor and under privileged segments of the society for their socio-economic empowerment.
“DAHWA is engaged in serving the poor and needy rural population since the past over 40 years which has helped the people a lot”, he added while reaffirming his determination towards sorting out pension related issues of deserving populace of rural and far off areas. He also credited dedication and devotion of DAHWA team members who are working selflessly towards achieving organisation’s goal of serving the cause of the society.
DAHWA team was comprised of Ex Subedar Subash, Ex Subedar OM Parkash, Ex Subedar Pritam and others.
