Congress holds meeting of ST workers in Charar I Sharief

Srinagar, Jan 13: The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) held a meeting of Party works from ST Community and in Charar I Sharief, emphasizing them to work hard to strengthen the Party further in their respective areas.
The meeting was presided over by Senior Congress Leader Kadfeen Chowdhary.
On this occasion District President Congress (Budgam) Zahid Hussain Jan also addressed the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion Chowdhary told the party workers that Congress party is duty bound to give representation to every community in the State while having never discriminated with any section or individual.
He urged them to gear up for the upcoming Assembly and Parliamentary Elections in the State and ensure victory of Congress party with a thumping majority, he also cautioned them against opportunist politics on the part of BJP, PDP and other political forces in the State, who had promised enough to ST community, but after securing votes, they did not even a fulfill a single promise.
Chowdhary asked the workers to reach out to people with the programme and policies of the Party and remain steadfast to serve them to the best of their ability, for the fact, Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people and it will continue to serve them, he added. (KNS)
