Holds public darbars at Kokernag, Larnoo
Anantnag, Jan 7: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Younis Malik, today inspected PHC Sagam and SDH Kokernag and inquired about the facilities being provided to the patients there. He took round of wards and interacted with the indoor and outdoor patients. He directed the managements to provide best Medicare and make heating arrangements for the patients.
The DDC also took stock of the post snow restoration works done by PHE, PDD & R&B.
He chaired public darbars at Tehsil Headquarters of Kokernag and Larnoo where scores of people from the adjacent villages projected their problems.
The locals raised problems being faced by them with regard to power/ water supply, construction of lanes, drainage and sought road widening, approach roads to the villages and repair of damaged transformers.
The DDC directed the PHE Department to connect the Zalangam village from the spring source for which funds to the tune of Rs 4 lakh will be provided by district administration. He also directed PDD to provide new transformer to the local population.
The people also complained about shortage of doctors at various health institutions and educational institutions in both the tehsils.
The DDC directed all the concerned departments to ensure the restoration of the basic facilities affected due to the recent snowfall. He also directed them to have close coordination with the field functionaries.
