PDP Chief trying to gain lost political ground: BJP

Srinagar, Jan 3: While saying that Mehbooba Mufti was trying to do politics by visiting the families of the militants, Bhartiya Janata Party’s (PDP), State General Secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul Thursday said that she was trying to do some good to the lost political space in the state.
Kaul, while talking to a news agency said that she was the one who once said that those who were getting killed “were not going there to buy toffees, and what she is doing today, is sheer politics that she is playing by visiting the families of the militants,” he said.
He said that, ahead of elections, she was trying to gain some foot on ground by sympathizing with the families, “but people know their reality, they have been exposed and people know that better,” Kaul said.
While reacting to the statement that Mehbooba made after she visited the family of a militant in Shopain that there were directions to ‘harass’ the families, Kaul said that she saying so was ‘unfortunate and a pure political gimmick.”
“Nobody wants to harass anyone unnecessarily, and what she has said is wrong and utterly unfortunate,” he said.
“There is nothing like that, there are no such directions all she wants to do is an attempt to make her political career again, but people know what she is, what lies inside and what is outside, people know,” Kaul said.(RNA)
