Life returns to normal in Pulwama

Srinagar, Jan 1: Life returned to normal after remaining crippled for four successive days in south Kashmir district of Pulwama against the killing of five militants in two separate encounter last week.
There was no restriction in any part of the Pulwama though security forces remained deployed in sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incident.
Shops and business establishments reopened this morning after remaining closed due to spontaneous strike for four days. Traffic was also plying on all routes normally.
Life came to a grinding halt in Pulwama on Friday, when a militant was killed in an encounter with security forces at Rinzipora Banderpora, Awantipora in Pulwama.
On Saturday, four militants were killed another encounter with security forces at at BanHanjan Payeen Rajpora in Pulwama. About 10 persons were injured when security forces burst teargas shells and fired pellets to disperse demonstrators, who hit the streets after news of the death of militants spread in the area.
