Motorcyclist dead, two pillion riders injured in Bijbehara road accident

Srinagar, Dec 26: A motorcyclist was dead and two others sustained serious injuries after a two-wheeler they were riding in met with an accident in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday evening.
Sources said that a youth identified as Sameer Ahmed, son of Aijaz Ahmed Bhat, riding on Scooty along with two pillion riders collided with an Auto at Veer-Nowbugh area of Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to three of them.
Soon after the incident, the injured boys were taken to sub-District Hospital Bijbehara for the treatment where from Sameer Ahmed was referred to district hospital Islamabad, however, Sameer succumbed to injuries and other two boys identified as Muneeb Farooq Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Faizal Ahmad Bhat, son of Bilal Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Anchidora Anantnag are being treated in the hospital.
Local sources said that the trio was on way to Veer-Nowbugh to visit their relatives. The source added that Sameer hails from Khayar Salia village of Islamabad, but he was currently living with a maternal family at Anchidora.
