Srinagar, Dec 26: Life returned to normal on Wednesday after remaining crippled for four days in parts of south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where six militants were killed in an encounter with security forces on December 22.
Shops and business establishments reopened early this morning and traffic was plying normally on all roads in Tral town and adjoining areas.
However, security forces remained deployed in strength on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, since early this morning for security reasons.
Tral and adjoining areas observed strike for four days against killing of six Ansar Ghazwatul Hind militants, including deputy chief of the outfit, in an encounter with security forces which ensued after forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Pulwama on December 22.
