10 days EDP training programme for PMEGP beneficiaries kick-starts at Kargil

Kargil, Dec 23: 10 days Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training for the beneficiaries of Kargil district whose loan cases have been sanctioned under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) kick-started at Language Center here.
190 trainees are attending the training programme which is being organized by the Production and Marketing Training Centre (PMTC) Pampore of Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
Councilor Aga Syed Muhammad Shah, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the training programme.
In his address, the Councilor while appreciating the efforts of PMTC Pampore for having organized the training programme expressed hope that it will go a long way in providing the young and budding entrepreneurs proper technical inputs and professional training.
The Councilor urged upon the trainees to exude wholehearted enthusiasm in the training sessions so that they are in a position to start their business ventures and translate their dreams into real success.
Meanwhile, the participants on the occasion highlighted the need to set up a Rural Self Employment Training Center (RSETC) at Kargil on the lines of other districts in the state. They stated it will prove instrumental in imparting necessary training to aspiring entrepreneurs on continuing basis about different business opportunities in service, manufacturing and other allied sectors.
District Officer Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Kargil Ghulam Hadi, General Manager, District Industries Center (DIC), Kargil Mudassir Rouf Wani, District Lead Bank Manager Kargil besides other concerned officers and trainees were present on the occasion.
