IED detected, defused in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 20: Army on Thursday morning recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) at Shumnag area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports said that the IED was detected by the patrolling party of army’s 5 Bihar in Shumnag. The IED hid inside road was detected by the patrol at around 8:00 today.
A police officer confirmed the incident and said the bomb disposal squad was called in who later disposed off the explosive device without causing any damage. (GNS)
