Primary Health Centre at Kehripora village lacks basic facilities

Anantnag, Dec 12: The residents of Kehripora village in Anantnag district complained that the Primary Health Centre (PHC) located in their village lacks staff and basic facilities as they are being forced to visit other places for medical treatment.
Locals alleged that “The PHC was established In 2008, the authorities had promised us that all kind of medical facility will be made available here as the Health Centre caters to a vast area.
According to locals there is unavailability of staff, basic facilities and building which was constructed before ten years turned into cowshed.
In this regard when contacted Block Medical Officer (BMO) Larnoo he said that the allopathic dispensary now NTPHC is working in a private accommodation since long. The government building is under construction. After completion of the construction, the accommodation problem get solved and people will feel sigh of relief.
