Nizamuddin Bhat accuses New Delhi of perpetuating uncertainty in JK

Bandipora, Dec 7: Senior PDP leader and former legislator Nizamuddin Bhat accused New Delhi of perpetuating uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir by delaying the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Addressing party workers at Bandipora Bhat said PDP’s emergence in the state as a popular political substitute had ensured participation of the masses in political and democratic process.
He said at one time it looked that resolution was round the corner as several confidence building measures were taken by governments of India and Pakistan.
“State government headed by late Mufti Mohmmad Syed gained credibility as a representative government with enhanced trust and faith.”
Bhat said Mehbooba Mufti led government also was pursuing the same course at local level. “But she was failed by hardliners in New Delhi who blocked the process of dialogue and resolution.”
He said several anti-people measures now being taken by Governor administration including fiddling with special laws wedded to state’s identity became possible only when her party was removed from power.
Bhat said state is immensely suffering, economic activity has slided, unemployment is swelling, political
Activity is choked, constitution is under stress and democratic organs witness a mockery.
He said alienation is likely to increase further if there is no end to administrative and political inertia and process of fiddling with laws related to state’s identity is not reversed.
He appealed workers to remain united and revive the process of hope in the state by carrying the party agenda with sole objective to get the people out of present morass.
