Life returns to normal after remaining crippled for 3 days in Sopore

Baramulla, Dec 2: Life returned to normal after remaining crippled for three days in the apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district, where a local militant Mehrajuddin Khan of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) was killed alongwith Naveed Jatt, a Pakistani national, in an encounter at Chattergam in Budgam on Wednesday.
Shops and business establishments, which remain open on Sundays, reopened this morning and traffic was plying normally on all roads in Sopore and adjoining areas.
Naveed, a top commander of LeT and his associate Khan were killed in an encounter by security forces at Chatergam, Budgam in central Kashmir, where one militant emerged unhurt from under the debris of the damaged house, after the operation was called off by security forces, and escaped.
