Bhat pays tributes to Dr. Wani on his 20th death anniversary

Bandipora, Nov 4: Senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat has paid rich tributes to late Dr. Ghulam Qadir Wani on his 20th death anniversary today.
Bhat in a statement said in him he has lost a friend with whom the relations were beyond his political beliefs.
“Wani was an intellectual of repute who had made a niche in world of academics and journalism through his personal effort. Hailing from a poor family of Wani was a gifted genius and reached heights in a short span. He was a sincere human being. Had he lived, he would have immensely contributed in the realm of politics and literature.”
Bhat said Wani’s killing by unknown assassins was a serious blow to lovers of legitimate struggle and campaigners of social justice and liberty. “It is unfortunate that he did not get his due when he lived and when he is lost.”
He said that it will be best tribute to Dr. Wani and acknowledgement of his relentless suffering in pursuit of noble objectives that rogue elements are denied space in politics and society is restored to its glorious ethos.
