CMO Kargil inspects various health institutions in Zanskar

Kargil, Oct 25: Chief Medical Officer, Kargil, Dr Ibrahim Khan today visited Zanskar Sub Division and took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients by the district administration.
Executive Councillor, Karsha,TanzinJigmat, Incharge Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Tundup Namgyal, Block Medical Officer and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
During the visit, the CMO discussed and reviewed the overall activities of all the health institutions of the Sub Division.
It was given out in the meeting that an amount of Rs 41 Lakh has already been released for heating system for all health institutions of the Sub Division Zanskar. It was also given that 2840 children were given RM vaccine. It was informed that 17 cases have been registered as dog bite incidents during the current year so far which were treated.
The Block Medical Officer while giving details of the facilities available in the health institutions of the Sub Division, demanded for providing of anti-rabbi vaccine.
The CMO directed the concerned to ensure cleanliness in and around all the health institutions.
During inspection to Community Health Centre, Padum, the CMO directed the BMO to ensure faculties for indoor patients.
Earlier, the CMO convened a meeting with the Pharmacists of the Sub Division and enquired about the progress of National Programme.
Later, the CMO inspected Allopathic Dispensary, Karsha.
