Former India cricketers Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan might have hung up their international cricket boots, but the T10 League in the UAE is giving them the opportunity to stay actively connected with the game they love. The second season of the T10 League will start on November 23 and will end on December 2 this year. The Debut season of the T10 League was played in December 2017 in UAE. The 10 overs a side tournament is recognised by the Emirates Cricket Board.
The final last year was played between Punjabi Legends and Kerala Kings in 2017, where Kerala Kings emerged victorious.
Sehwag, who led the Maratha Arabians team last season, will not be playing for the team this time. He will be the batting coach instead.
Sehwag though will not be the only Indian who will be a part of the tournament this time. Among other former India players, former India pace spearhead Zaheer Khan will also be a part of the tournament. And Sehwag took to Twitter to talk about how excited he is about his former team-mate being a part of the tournament this time around.
“Such a delight to see men from India support and participate in the season 2 of #T10 League. Looking forward to see some magical swing from my friend, @ImZaheer,” Sehwag tweeted.
Apart from Zaheer Khan, other former India players like Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, Reetinder Singh Sodhi and Subramaniam Badrinath have confirmed their participation in the second edition of the T10 league.
