Militants loot weapons from retired police officer’s residence in Budgam

Srinagar, Oct 14: Militants on late Sunday evening stuck at retired police officer’s residence and decamped with two weapons along with magazines in Gopalpora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Reports said that the gunmen barged inside the house of retired Superintendent of Police (SP), Ghulam Mohammad Gurezi at Noorani colony in Gopalpora area of Chadoora.
The gunmen overpowered the cops at the guard room guarding the former police officer and fled away along with two carbine rifles and four magazines.
SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh confirmed the incident and said that police team has been rushed to the spot to verify the details. “Police have taken cognizance and further investigation taken up”, the SSP said.
