Jan seeks withdrawal of notification declaring Loran as wild-life sanctuary

Poonch, Oct 10: Hundreds of people living in Loran village of Poonch have expressed strong resentment over the issuance of notification bringing the area under wild-life sanctuary.
Expressing solidarity with a delegation of the agitated people, Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan sought immediate withdrawal of the notification.
The delegation of the people of this area headed by NC leader, Ajaz Jan comprising of more than five hundred people called on DDC Poonch, Rahul Yadav and SSP Poonch, Rajiv Pandey and lodged their strong protest.
They said that in Loran village area, people are living on their ancestral and personal property and not on state land but authorities have taken a step to harass people by issuing notification declaring this area as wild life sanctuary.
Locals of the area including YNC Provincial President, Ajaz Jan said that authorities are badly failing to preserve environment with rampant deforestation going on across state and wide level use of poly-bags against norms but officers have taken this step to harass poor villagers and to get their names in papers.
Ajaz Jan also asked district administration officers to take up this matter with senior authorities and underlined need to introspect this decision.
Both DDC Poonch and SSP Poonch assured the visiting delegation to discuss the matter with senior authorities.
