DC Anantnag reviews status of languishing projects

Anantnag, Sep 27: The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting of officers and engineers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Education, Health, JKPCC, Urban Development Department, Tourism, Irrigation, Flood Control, Floriculture and Revenue, to review the status of languishing projects of district Anantnag.
The DDC directed the concerned departments to project the total estimated cost, expenditure incurred so far and liabilities of the ongoing projects/schemes, implementation of District Development Board decisions and commitments & directions issued in the Governor’s meeting held at Dak Bungalow, Khanabal Anantnag in July – 2018. He also directed them to project the demand for projections, clearing of liabilities on the prescribed proforma already issued by the Chief Secretary.
He directed the health department to project the demands for PHC Nowgam, Rehmat e Alam Hospital, PHC Hapatnard, NTPHC Brinty, Hakura, Dethu, Rainipora, Sadiwara, Nowgam (Shangus), walling of PHC Qamar, Up gradation Plan for SDH Achabal and construction of Trauma Centre at Vailo. JKPCC was asked to project the cost of administrative complex and residential quarters at Dooru, Kokernag & Bijbehara. Education Department was directed to project the demand for 29 school buildings and Urban Development Department was directed to project the liability of SRTC shopping complex and construction of Slaughter House.
The DDC also stressed for projecting issues of public importance, most of which related to scarcity of drinking water, construction of filtration plants in the district, long delays in starting works under Centrally Sponsored Schemes of the Power Development Department, construction/up gradation of road projects under CRF and the need to expeditiously complete several long-languishing projects.
The meeting was also attended by the ADDC, Anantnag, ADC Anantnag CMO, Anantnag, SE PDD, PHE, Xen R&B, Anantnag, Xen I&FC, PDD, district officers of Horticulture, Sheep, Animal Husbandry, executive officers of all Municipal Committees & Municipal Council, Anantnag.
