Water shortage hits Dahama village

Kupwara, Sep 20: Dahama village of frontier district Kupwara is facing water shortage since last couple of months and concerned department hasn’t made any efforts to solve their problem.
Because of water shortage many women are abandoning their horticulture gardens, which they said, is their economy mainstay.
“Dahama (A&B) block Vilgam is deprived of water supply facilities since long.
“Dangerwari Nala water is being provided to the locality but without filter that too at the will of field staff,” said, locals of Dahama village.
The villagers said that their repeated request to AEE hadn’t yielded any result till now.
Now, they urged district administration to direct concerned authorities to take up immediate action so, that they won’t suffer in future.
