Wani says struggle entered into decisive phase, unity at this juncture is imperative
Srinagar, Sep 12: As the hunger strike of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA) teachers continued on Wednesday, the Teachers Joint Action committee (TJAC) has decided to carry out a protest rally towards raj Bhawan on Sunday to press for their demands.
“Since our struggle in favour of SSA teachers, head teachers and RMSA Masters and headmasters has entered a decisive phase thus unity among cadres at this crucial juncture is imperative,” TJAC chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani said.
In this connection, TJAC have decided to take out a peaceful protest March from Partap Park to Raj Bhawan Srinagar and same protest rally shall be carried out from press club Jammu to Raj Bhawan Jammu on Sunday 16th of September 2018.
“Therefore, all the teachers irrespective of cadre, status and faction all over the State are requested to show greater unity for greater cause by attending the peaceful demonstrations at above mentioned places at 10AM and the processions will be carried out at 12noon sharp for restoration of the legitimate rights like immediate implementation of 7th pay commission and linking of their salary with State sector besides greater unity and solidarity with the hunger striking teachers,” TJAC said.
