New Delhi, Sep 7: A special NIA court on Friday extended the judicial custody of Asiya Andrabi and her two women associates till October 1.
They are currently lodged in Tihar jail.
A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had on August 10 extended the judicial custody of Andrabi and two others till September 7.
Andrabi, the chief of Dukhtaran-e- Milat (DeM), was arrested by the NIA along with two of her associates, Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen, for allegedly waging war against the country.
In April, the NIA had registered a case against Andrabi for sedition, waging war against India and criminal conspiracy under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
The NIA FIR said that the central government had received information that Andrabi and her associates are running a militant organisation named as DeM which is proscribed under the First Schedule to the UAPA.
Andrabi had solicited help from proscribed militant organisations and along with her associates had entered into a criminal conspiracy to wage war against India, the FIR said.
